God, Thank You for These Peaceful Moments

Every nite I lie in bed, feeling the breeze from my window, and always I thank You, Lord. It's such a peaceful whisper from You that You're watching over me.

Thank You for These Peaceful Moments

Peaceful moments begin in all my days.
You have blessed me in so many ways.

As Your hand reaches out to remove the night
For me to watch the beginning of dawn's first light,

I watch as the sky is slowly painted by Your hand:
All of the colors that You have created for man.

I see all the clouds as they gently float by,
All shapes and sizes that decorate the sky;

I hear whispers of a soft and gentle breeze,
And the trees and flowers fluttering with such ease.

I watch all the flowers bursting with blooms,
Sounds of nature whistling their happy tunes.

I see butterflies with their velvety wings,
And listen to a robin as she happily sings.

The pounding waves upon the rocky shore
Thrill me, rolling and tumbling o'er and o'er.

As the ending of the day closes into night,
The moon and stars light the sky so bright.

Peaceful Moments I am blessed with every day
I thank You for the breeze as to You I pray.

Seeing the earth and all its worldly pleasures,
Can't wait for Heaven and more of God's treasures!
